Philly Steak Cheese Fries

A tasty twist on the classic fries, loaded with tender beef, sautéed vegetables and melty cheese, perfect for a casual dinner party or an indulgent meal on your own.

Ingredients:

1 lb beef, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
8-10 slices White American cheese
600 g McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries (or your favorite)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:

1️⃣ Preheat oven:
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

2️⃣ Cook beef:
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Place the sliced ​​beef in the skillet, season with garlic salt and black pepper, and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Sauté the vegetables:
Return the skillet to the heat, add the green pepper and sliced ​​onion. Cook in the remaining liquid from the meat until soft but still slightly crispy. Remove from the heat and set aside.

4️⃣ Assemble the fries and toppings:
Lay a first layer of waffle fries in the skillet (or in a baking dish).
Lay 4 slices of White American cheese on top of the fries.
Add a layer of cooked meat and sautéed vegetables.
Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining cheese on top.

5️⃣ Bake:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

6️⃣ Serve:
