Ingredients

For the base:

200 g dry biscuits (such as Digestive or Oro Saiwa)
100 g melted butter
For the chocolate and caramel cream:

300 g dark chocolate
200 g fresh cream
150 g granulated sugar
50 g butter
100 g salted peanuts (roughly chopped)
100 g soft caramel (you can use ready-made caramel or make it at home with sugar and cream)
For the decoration:

Chopped peanuts
Milk chocolate (to create a drip on top)
A pinch of salt (optional, to enhance the flavor of the caramel)

Instructions

Prepare the base: Blend the dry biscuits in a mixer until you obtain a fine powder. Mix the crushed biscuits with the melted butter until you obtain a moist and well-mixed mixture. Pour the mixture into a springform pan (about 22 cm in diameter) and press it down firmly to form a compact base. Place the pan in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the base to solidify.
Prepare the chocolate and caramel cream: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, butter and cream. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has melted and the caramel is smooth. Remove from the heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until the cream is smooth.
Assemble the cake: Once the biscuit base has solidified, pour the chocolate and caramel cream over it, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or until the cream has solidified.
Decorate the cake: When the cake is ready, decorate it with chopped nuts and a drizzle of melted milk chocolate. You can add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness of the caramel, creating a perfect contrast.
Serving: Let the cake rest in the fridge for an additional half hour before serving, to allow the decoration to solidify. Cut into slices and enjoy!
Serving and storage tips

Serving: This cake is already perfect on its own, but you can accompany it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of whipped cream for an extra touch of deliciousness.
Storing: Snickers cake will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days. If you want to keep it longer, you can also freeze it. Before serving, leave it at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to make it soft and creamy again.
Variations

Gluten-free version: Use gluten-free biscuits for the base, for a version also suitable for those who are intolerant to gluten.
Vegan version: Replace the butter with vegetable margarine, the cream with vegetable cream and use vegan dark chocolate. For the base, replace the biscuits with vegan biscuits.
Snickers Cake with Banana: Add slices of banana on top of the chocolate and caramel cream for an even more delicious and fresh version.
